Bible Verse of the Week: Joshua 1:7

"Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go." Joshua 1:7
God is very concerned with our inward feelings and thoughts. He desires for us to be of good courage. Doubts and fears may be thought of as little things, but I do not believe that God considers them so little. He desires for us to be of good courage: without anxiety and doubt. He dislikes us to be sad but to rejoice. Christians are courageous when we glorify God by the trials that we endure. Being fearful dishonors God. What kind of example is that to a non-believer? Being downcast will cause Satan to overcome you. We should be joyful in our Savior where there is so much reason to be joyful. Spurgeon said, "Work is light to a man of cheerful spirit; and success waits upon cheerfulness." Those who toil, rejoice, and believe have success. Those who sow in hope shall reap in joy. That is my preposition to
you: be strong and very courageous. ~Jesselyn

Amen! These are some things I've had to remind myself of lately, because life isn't always easy. Sometimes we go through trials and have to choose to be joyful and trust that God will bring us through. Thanks for the great post! :)

You're welcome, Renee! I am very glad that God inspired me to write this particular verse for this week.
