Best of 2011-Top 10 Songs

This is part 2 of my Best of 2011 series! A couple days ago, I gave you my Top 10 Albums list; today I will give you my Top 10 Songs of 2011. Again, please comment and let me know what you think of my list and also let me know what songs you would have put on it!

10. Your Love by Brandon Heath-Brandon's Leaving Eden album nearly made it to the Top 10 Albums of 2011, but its top single easily made it to this list. This song was No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Songs chart during the week of January 21, 2011, and it spent a full 27 weeks on that chart.

9. Strong Enough by Matthew West-Though this song peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Christian Songs chart and failed to reach No. 1, I still enjoyed this song more than most of the other singles from this year. It was definitely one of my favorites to hear played on the radio!

8. Remind Me Who I Am by Jason Gray-While his full album did not reach my Top 10 lists, I could not leave Jason Gray out of all my lists. His lead single from A Way To See In The Dark is a great rock song that is highly enjoyable.

7. Slumber by NEEDTOBREATHE-NEEDTOBREATHE have been extremely successful since their album The Outsiders (2009). They won the Group of the Year award two years in a row at the GMA Dove Awards and are currently touring with Taylor Swift for the North American part of the Speak Now World Tour. In my opinion, this new single might be their best yet!

6. Blessings by Laura Story-Laura Story is beginning to make a big name of herself since her release of the single "Blessings" which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Songs chart, making her one of just a few female Christian artists to do so. Not surprisingly, this song is now being sung in churches all over the country!

5. Save Your Life by Newsboys-The Newsboys have never been known to fail in their music, and this single off their Born Again: Miracles Edition was a big standout in 2011's Christian pop and rock music. The best part of this song was that it was offered as a free download on Newsboys's website!

4. Courageous by Casting Crowns-This song was written for the Courageous film by Sherwood Pictures that was also released in 2011. The song was a big hit, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Songs chart, and is also featured on Casting Crowns's latest album Come To The Well.

3. Listen to the Sound by Building 429-Though the Listen To The Sound album was not quite successful as I thought it should be, the title track and lead single peaked at No. 4 on Billboard's Christian Songs chart. It was also played frequently on Christian radio and is one of my favorites from the band.

2. I Lift My Hands by Chris Tomlin-How can this list be complete without a touch of Chris Tomlin? I Lift My Hands is the third single from Chris Tomlin's latest studio album And If Our God Is For Us... and, as with any Chris Tomlin song, topped Christian radio charts. It is another successful worship song, as we expect from Tomlin.

1. My Hope Is In You by Aaron Shust-Aaron Shust topped my Top 10 Albums list and now tops my Top 10 Songs list! The lyrics, tune, and music video for "My Hope Is In You" are all amazing, and this became my favorite song to hear on the radio in the past year. As expected, it peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's Christian Songs chart and should be at or near the top of all 2011 Christian song charts!

So there you have it! 2011 had many highlights in the music industry, and I look forward to what 2012 has to offer us!
